Abstract: PURPOSE: A beam dumper for a particle counter or a fluorescence detector is provided to improve the accuracy and reliability of measurement since air and light are prevented from flowing into an optical chamber or a beam dumper from the outside. CONSTITUTION: A beam dumper for a particle counter or a fluorescence detector comprises a body(110), a focusing lens assembly(120), a pinhole assembly(150), a housing(160), and a light source output detector(180). The body is fixed to the optical chamber. The focusing lens assembly is inserted into an inserting hole(111) formed at the center of the body. The pinhole assembly is inserted into a concave part formed at the rear side of the body. The housing is fixed on the back side of the pinhole assembly. The light source output detector is fixed on the rear side of the housing to be inclined to the standard surface which is vertical to an optical axis of the focusing lens assembly.
