Abstract: The present invention relates to an electromagnetic wave jamming technology and, more particularly, to a global positioning system (GPS) jamming alert system and a method thereof which continuously generate a jamming alert by determining a signal as a GPS jamming attack if the signal exceeds a predetermined range of message validity, a message update rate, a standard error, and a maximum movable range by the maximum velocity, and improves the reliability of determination for GPS jamming according to the number of continuous generations. According to the present invention, an operator can always identify the validity of location and/or time information provided from the GPS, take an action according to the events, and perform tasks without interruptions by immediately generating a GPS jamming alert by receiving and analyzing location and time information provided from the GPS when a GPS jamming event occurs.
