Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for managing a safety function of a weapon system is provided to improve system reliability for safe use of a weapon system by setting a safe time for activating the safety function of a safety device to use a weapon only during a safe time. CONSTITUTION: A system for managing a safety function of a weapon system comprises a maintenance equipment(110), a safety device(120), and a weapon system(130). A safe time for activating a safety function which controls the usage of a weapon by an operator is inputted in the maintenance equipment. The safety device receives the safe time from the maintenance equipment, drives a timer according to the safe time, compares the safe time and the driving time of the timer, and outputs control signals according to the compared results. The weapon system receives the control signals and controls the usage of the weapon according to the control signals.
