Abstract: PURPOSE: A safety device of a cannon with a rotary ammunition chamber is provided to stop the rotary ammunition chamber to the correct position even if the rotary ammunition chamber is normally operated and rotate the rotary ammunition chamber by releasing. CONSTITUTION: A safety device of a cannon with a rotary ammunition chamber comprises a three-stage cam(310), a lever for stopping at the initial position , a lever(350) for emergency, and a lever(360) for safe operation. The three-stage cam includes three differential cam surfaces integrally rotated with a rotary shaft of the rotary ammunition chamber. The levers for stopping to the initial position, the emergency, and the safe operation individually contact with one among the three differential cam surfaces. The levers are individually driven and separately control the rotation of the rotary shaft.
