Abstract: Provided are a transformed microorganism capable of expressing the surface antigen protein of Helicobacter pylori and an antigen protein extracted and purified from the microorganism so as to be usefully used for preventing and treating the Helicobacter pylori infection. The Cag12 protein of Helicobacter pylori K-51 comprises an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 6. The isolated DNA comprises a sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 5 coding the protein. The vector includes a gene coding an outer membrane protein of Helicobacter pylori derived from human. The transformed microorganism is obtained by introducing the vector into E. coli pMG36e/cag12. To prepare an antigen protein of the Helicobacter pylori, the transformed E. coli is cultured. The vaccine for preventing the Helicobacter pylori infection comprises the antigen protein as an effective ingredient.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for increasing immune effects comprising the extract of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray is provided to increase production of antibodies against foreign antigens and improve a humoral immune response by promoting migration efficiency of leucocytes from peripheral blood into second immune organs. The pharmaceutical composition for increasing immune effects comprises the extract or purified fraction of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray, wherein the extract of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray is prepared by heating the root of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray in water, and the purified fraction of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray is prepared by adding acetone into the water extract of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray to prepare 50% water and acetone mixed solvent and removing the precipitated matters from the solution so as to prepare the supernatant containing acetone-soluble components; adding acetone into the supernatant to prepare 80% water and acetone mixed solvent and recovering the precipitated matters; and dissolving the precipitated matters in distilled water and re-precipitating the solution with 80% acetone. A health food for increasing immune effects comprises the extract or purified fraction of Polygonatum falcatum A. Gray, wherein the health food is formulated as powder, granule, tablet, capsule or drink.
