Abstract: A method for preparing a mask pack by using the kelp frond, and a mask pack prepared by the method are provided to improve biocompatibility, moisturizing effect, skin adhesion and color. A method for preparing a mask pack by using the kelp frond comprises the steps of treating and washing the collected kelp; slightly boiling it in the pot containing 1-5 % salt water at 80-100 deg.C for 1-5 min and cooling it with tap water; drying it with a hot wind drier of 40-80 deg.C for 10-50 min for surface hardening; cutting the right center of the cross-section of the obtained kelp frond into two parts; molding the cut one into a mask pack sheet and freeze-drying it in vacuum; and absorbing a cosmetic composition to the obtained mask pack sheet.
