Abstract: 본 발명은 바이러스 저항성 토마토 및 그의 제조 방법에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로 담배 모자이크 바이러스 (Tobacco mosaic virus, TMV)의 외피 단백질 (coat protein, CP) 유전자로 형질전환시킨 바이러스 저항성 토마토 및 CP 유전자가 도입된 아그로박테리움 (
Agrobacterium )과 토마토 조직의 공존 배양, 캘러스 등의 유도, 식물체 재분화, 순화 및 포트 이식의 과정으로 구성되는 바이러스 저항성 토마토의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 바이러스 저항성 토마토는 6 세대까지 진전되어 도입시킨 유전자가 안정하게 유지되므로 모부본용 토마토로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 의한 제조방법은 종래의 육종방법으로는 10 - 15년 이상 소요되는 품종개발 기간을 형질전환 방법을 이용하여 대폭 단축함으로써 앞으로 유용한 식물체를 개발하는 데 크게 이바지할 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: The virus resistant tomato and its producing method are provided, which contains a virus resistant gene for more than 5 generations, so that it can be used as seed tomato. CONSTITUTION: The virus tolerant tomato, T16-11-5-3 or T44-2-6-14-28 is produced by transforming a normal tomato gene with the surface protein gene of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). The method for producing virus resistant tomato comprises the steps of: simultaneously incubating Agrobacterium sp. containing a foreign gene such as tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) gene and tomato tissues, for 4 to 6 minutes to induce calluses and shoots; and re-differentiating the calluses and shoots and attenuating them for 6 to 8 days; and transplanting them into ports.

Abstract translation: 目的：提供病毒抗性番茄及其生产方法，其含有超过5代的病毒抗性基因，因此可用作种子番茄。 构成：通过用烟草花叶病毒（TMV）的表面蛋白质基因转化正常的番茄基因来产生病毒耐性番茄T16-11-5-3或T44-2-6-14-28。 产生耐病性番茄的方法包括以下步骤：同时培养农杆菌 含有外来基因如烟草花叶病毒（TMV）基因和番茄组织4至6分钟以诱导愈伤组织和芽; 并重新分化愈伤组织和芽，并将其减毒6至8天; 并将其移植到端口中。
