본 발명은 3,4,5-트리히드록시벤즈알데히드를 유효성분으로 포함하는 고지혈증 및 MMP 과다활성으로 인한 혈관질환 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로서 보다 상세하게는 국내 자생 식물인 뱀무에서 분리한 3,4,5-트리히드록시벤즈알데히드를 유효성분으로 포함하는 고지혈증 및 MMP 과다활성으로 인한 혈관질환 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 세포 독성이 없으면서도 혈중 고밀도 콜레스테롤의 증가와 중성지방의 양을 감소시키며, 동맥평활근 세포의 MMP 활성을 저해함으로써 지질대사의 이상으로 발생되는 고지혈증 및 동맥경화증과 같은 MMP 과다활성으로 인한 혈관질환의 예방 및 치료하는 효과를 갖는다. 따라서, 본 발명의 조성물은 고지혈증 및 동맥경화와 같은 혈관질환의 예방 및 치료의 목적으로 사용할 수 있다. 뱀무, 고지혈증, 동맥경화, MMP, 예방, 치료
Abstract:
A composition comprising 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzaldehyde is provided to increase blood high density cholesterol, reduce the amount of neutral fat, and inhibit MMP(matrix metalloproteinase) activity of arterial vascular smooth muscle cell, thereby preventing and treating hyperlipidemia and vascular disease such as arteriosclerosis. The pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia and vascular disease due to highly activated MMP comprises 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzaldehyde separated from Geum japonicum THUNBERG or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein the vascular disease due to highly activated MMP is selected from arteriosclerosis, angina, myocardial infarction, hypertension, anemia, migraine, stroke and hemandioma.

An extract of Geum japonicum having anti-obesity and anti-inflammation effects, a food composition comprising the same extract and a preparation method of the same extract are provided to inhibit obesity by suppressing accumulation of neutral fat and GPDH(glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) activity, and inhibit inflammation by suppressing production of NO(nitrogen oxide) as an inflammation factor, and initial inflammatory cytokines of PGE2(Prostaglandin E), IL(interleukin)-1beta and TNF(tumor necrosis factor)-alpha. The method for preparing the extract of Geum japonicum having anti-obesity and anti-inflammation effects comprises the steps of: (1) extracting dried powder of Geum japonicum with methanol or ethanol, filtering the extract, and concentrating the filtered solution to obtain the methanol or ethanol extract; (2) adding hexane and water into the methanol or ethanol extract, separating a hexane layer and a water layer(i) and concentrating the hexane layer to obtain the hexane extract; (3) adding methylene chloride and water into the water layer(i), separating a methylene chloride layer and a water layer(ii) and concentrating the methylene chloride layer to obtain the methylene chloride extract; (4) adding ethyl acetate and water into the water layer(ii), separating an ethyl acetate layer and a water layer(iii) and concentrating the ethyl acetate layer to obtain the ethyl acetate extract; and (5) evaporating the water from the water layer(iii) to obtain the water layer.
