Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for enhancing transformation efficiency of Brassica campestris L. using Agrobacterium is provided to establish stable transformation system of high efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A method for enhancing transformation efficiency of Brassica campestris L. comprises: a step of performing dark germination of Brassica campestris L. seeds at 24-26°C for 3-5 days; a step of culturing the hypocotyl part of Brassica campestris L. in a MS medium containing 0.5-1.5 mg/L of NAA and 3-5 mg/L of BA at 22-24°C for 1-3 days by photo-cultivation; a step of suspending Agrobacterium tumefaciens containing a recombinanat plant expression vector to a medium; a step of dipping the hypocotyl part of Brassica campestris L. in the prepared strain-inoculated medium for 5-15 minutes; a step of culturing the hypocotyl part of Brassica campestris L. in a medium I containing NAA, BA, AgNO_3, and antibiotics for 2-3 months to induce a shoot; and a step of culturing the shoot in a medium II.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a herbicide resistance garlic is provided to transform the herbicide resistance gene in a garlic using an agrobacterium. A method for manufacturing a herbicide resistance garlic comprises: a step of adding 0.5-1.5mg/L of 2,4-D(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) and 0.05-0.15mg/L of IAA(indoleacetic acid) in MS broth and inducing a garlic callus for seven to nine weeks; a step of co-culturing an Agrobacterium tumefaciens with the induced garlic callus and transforming; a step of selecting plant cell in antibiotics added selection medium for 11 to 13 weeks; and a step of redifferentiating the selected garlic cell.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a new variety of garlic having an improved anticancer activity by cross-breeding a fertile garlic, and the new variety of garlic has an anticancer activity and strong properties against viral disease and garlic leaf blight compared to an existing cultivated variety. Thus the present invention provides a new variety of garlic having a more improved anticancer activity than an existing garlic variety, and can be applied to new food and drug not only in Korea where a garlic is used as a seasoning, but also in a foreign country.
