    Abstract: PURPOSE: A tool adapter having an augmentation speed tool is provided to secure high speed working efficiency and high precision by making the rotation of a main shaft spindle high. CONSTITUTION: A tool adapter for augmenting the rotational speed of a machine tool is composed of a traction drive comprising an input shaft(1) inserted and mounted to a main shaft spindle, a plurality of planetary rollers(6) rotated by the input shaft, a housing(4) inscribed to the planetary rollers and fixed by a position block, and a sun roller(5) contacted rotatively to the planetary roller; lubricating oil filled in the traction drive to transmit power by viscosity among the housing, the planetary roller, and the sun roller; and a tool collet(9) installed at an output shaft(7) extended from the run roller. The cutting oil is fed from a cutting oil supply hose disposed in the position block to a nozzle bored around the output shaft along a path formed in the housing.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A built-in motor embedding spindle system is provided to analyze the thermal characteristic of a spindle according to cooling characteristic by three-dimension abnormal heat transfer analysis. CONSTITUTION: A built-in motor embedding spindle system executes design optimatization of a 8-pole radial heteropolar magnetic bearing for satisfying demand, performance limit, and design limit of a spindle system for a super high machine tool mounted with a magnetic bearing and maximizing levitation force. In analyzing the cooling characteristic of three kinds of spindles for two kinds of RPM(Revolution Per Minute), the temperature of a spindle according to the increase of cooling-flow is lowered rapidly for same RPM and accordingly the cooling effect is increased. If over a predetermined flow, the cooling effect is decreased and the temperature of a rotor of a motor is kept high. The cooling effect of temperature difference of 15 deg.C and thermal deformation of 5 micro meters is increased for 45000RPM better than 2000RPM.
