Abstract: PURPOSE: A method is provided to establish order of commercial dealings by discriminating natural yellow croakers from counterfeit yellow croakers in an easy and convenient manner. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of dissolving pigment from the colored portion by using water; and judging whether the pigment is decolorized from the colored portion by using CH3CO3H. Alternatively, a method comprises the steps of dissolving pigment from the colored portion by using water; and dissolving pigment from the colored portion by using acetone. Alternatively, a method comprises the steps of dissolving pigment from the colored portion by using water; judging whether the pigment is decolorized from the colored portion by using CH3CO3H; and dissolving pigment from the colored portion by using acetone.
