Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing genipin for preventing or treating breast cancer is provided to suppress breast cell invasion. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating breast cancer contains genipin as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition additionally contains an anticancer material or apoptosis inducer. The anticancer material is a cancer cell-specific antibody, a nucleic acid molecule which specifically suppresses expression of an anticancer gene, 5-fluorouracil, methotrxate, or doxorubicin. The antibody is a monoclonal antibody, a polyclonal antibody, a chimera antibody, a humanized antibody, or human antibody.
