Abstract:
An antibacterial composition containing essential oil which is obtained from Zanthoxylum schinifolium or Zanthoxylum piperitum A.P.DC. is provided to ensure high antibacterial activity and use as an antimicrobial agent. An antibacterial composition to bacteria of food poisoning comprises essential oil, as an active ingredient, which is produced from Zanthoxylum schinifolium or Zanthoxylum piperitum A.P.DC. THE bacteria of food poisoning comprises Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, and Vibrio parahaemolyticus. The essential oil from the Zanthoxylum schinifolium or Zanthoxylum piperitum A.P.DC. is manufactured through steam distillation method.
Abstract:
A functional jelly with three or more colors is provided to improve the quality of products and to prevent and treat diseases by adding tangerine juice, carrot juice, Pimpinella brachycarpa powder, Pimpinella brachycarpa juice, soy sauce or grape juice to white starch powder. A method for preparing functional jelly comprises the following steps of: mixing white starch powder and water in a ratio of 1:6 or 1:9 by weight; and adding additives to the mixture in a ratio of 0.01:1 or 0.05:1 by weight. The mixture is selected from the group consisting of tangerine juice, carrot juice, Pimpinella brachycarpa powder, Pimpinella brachycarpa juice, soy sauce and grape juice. A yellow color is from tangerine peel juice. An orange-red color is from the carrot juice. A green color is from the Pimpinella brachycarpa powder or Pimpinella brachycarpa juice. A brown color is from the soy sauce. A purple color is from the grape peel juice. The functional jelly has continuous three or more colors.

PURPOSE: An essential oil of Zanthoxyli fructus is provided to enhance ALP activity, collagen synthesis, calcium accumulation, to promote bone formation, and to be used as a pharmacological formulation for treating osteoporosis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis contains essential oil of Zanthoxyli fructus as an active ingredient. The essential oil is prepared by steam distillation, hot water distillation, oil adsorption, solvent extraction, supercritical fluid extraction, or pressing. The essential oil contains one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of beta-phellandren, citronellal, geranyl acetate, beta-myrcene, citronellyl acetate, acetate, citronellol, krypton, linalool, cuminol, nonanoic acid, alpha-terpinolene, geranial, and piperitone.
