    Abstract: PURPOSE: A biaxially oriented polyester film for a high thermal resistance thermal transfer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain an optimal condition of a vertical elongation percentage and a tenter thermosetting temperature, thereby improving wrinkles in a lateral unit and width directional size instability caused by a high temperature/high speed thermal transferring process. An undrawn sheet is drawn at temperature of 70-120°C using a roll arranged vertically or transversely to a longitudinal direction identical to a moving direction of the film at the temperature over a glass transition temperature 6.3-6.8 times.
