Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for producing transgenic rice plants in which a selection marker is removed is provided to effectively obtain marker-free transgenic plants. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing transgenic rice plants in which a selection marker is removed comprises: a step of preparing an expression vector containing a positive-negative selection marker gene and foreign target gene; a step of introducing the expression vector to Agrobacterium; a step of co-culturing the expression vector-introduced Agrobacterium with a rice plant or tissue thereof; a step of treating transgenic rice plant with N-AcPt(N-acetyl-phosphinothricin); and a step of selecting transgenic rice plant in which a positive-negative selection marker gene is not contained. The positive selection marker gene is hpt gene or NPTII gene. The negative selection marker gene is argE gene. The expression vector is pSN-K(KCTC10538BP) or pSN-H(KCTC10539BP) vector.
