Abstract: PURPOSE: A nerveprotective agent containing a compound isolated from oil-removed Sesamum indicum is provided to ensure antioxidation. CONSTITUTION: A nerveprotective agent contains a compound of formula 1 or 2 or agylcone or salt thereof as an active ingredient. The compounds and a compound selected from agylocone threof are isolated from oil-removed Sesamum inducum. A food composition contains compounds 1-3 or extract of oil-removed Sesamum inducum thereof.
