    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a nitrodiphenylamine from a nitrohalogenobenzene and an aromatic amine in a high selectivity and in a high yield. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises reacting the nitrohalogenobenzene with the aromatic amine in the presence of a base and a palladium catalyst. Therein, an alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal carboxylates or the like which are preliminarily crushed and/or dried before used are used as the base, and a palladium phosphine complex or one or more other palladium complexes are used as the palladium catalyst. By the hydrogenation, the obtained nitrodiphenylamine can be transferred into a corresponding aminodiphenylamine, that is, 4-aminodiphenylamine (4-ADPA) is obtained by hydrogenation of 4-nitrodiphenylamine.

Preferably, The aromatic amine is preferably aniline, o-, m- and p-toluidine anicidine, more preferably, is aniline.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for producing a nitrosobenzene having a particular chemical structure from aromatic amine is provided by means of catalytic oxidation using hydrogen peroxide by an industrial simple method without addition of solvent. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing nitrosobenzene defined as the following formula (wherein R1 and R2 are same or different, exhibit any one selected from hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 alkoxy) is carried out by oxidizing hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a tungsten compound-based and/or a molybdenum compound-based oxidation catalyst at 5-25 deg.C without using an organic solvent in the ratio of (aromatic amine):(hydrogen peroxide):(oxidation catalyst) of 1:(2.0-5.0):(0.001-0.05). The aromatic amine is preferably aniline, o-, m- and p-toluidine or o-, m- and p-anisidine, more preferably, is aniline.
