Abstract: PURPOSE: A display module having a haptic function is provided to increase space efficiency by installing a haptic actuator to a haptic function. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen panel senses a touch operation. An LCD panel displays an image through the touch screen panel. A BLU(Backlight Unit)(40) includes a light source and an LGP(Light Guide Plate)(45). A haptic actuator(150) is arranged to be contiguous to the light source. The LGP uses the light source on one side of the insertion part. The haptic actuator is arranged in the location which is opposite to the insertion part.

Abstract: A display module having a haptic function includes a touch screen panel for detecting touch manipulation, a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel for realizing image display on the touch screen panel, a backlight unit comprising at least one light source for providing illuminating light to the LCD panel, and a haptic actuator disposed adjacent to the light source for providing a haptic effect.
