    Abstract: PURPOSE: A piezo inkjet head management device and a management method are provided to grasp the abnormality existence of a piezo inkjet head and enable to cope with the abnormality. CONSTITUTION: A piezo inkjet head management device comprises a piezo actuator(10), a driving unit(20), a controller(70), and a storage unit(60). The piezo actuator is connected to an inkjet head, thereby generating pressure. The driving unit controls the operation of the piezo actuator. The controller determines signals generated by the piezo actuator as reference signals in the state that bubbles have flown into the inkjet head. The storage unit saves the signal determined as the reference signals by the controller. The controller calculates differences between the signals generated by the piezo actuator and the reference signals saved in the storage unit, thereby generating detection signals. The controller determines a state of the inkjet head according to whether the amplitude and frequencies of the detection signals are within a preset range or not.
