Abstract: A data reproducing equipment and a method for performing an alarm of stored data are provided to store a video clip or broadcasting data and reproduce it when a user wants to watch. A broadcasting receiver(110) receives the data, transmitted from the broadcast network server for example, the video clip and update information. A controller(160) confirms the update information delivered from the broadcasting receiver. It determines whether it has the information which it freshly receives in the file transfer channel. A broadcasting reception module(162) is activated the controller at the constant cycle. The setting of the broadcasting receiver is controlled. The file transmission channel is inspected based on this. The video clip and update information are transmitted to the file transfer channel. Abstract: An apparatus and a method for regenerating data are provided to receive and store a video clip which a broadcasting network server provides via a file transmission channel, to perform an alarm process with respect to the stored data and to enable a user to select data regeneration time. An apparatus for regenerating data includes a broadcast receiver(110), a key input unit(130), an audio processing unit(140), a memory, a display unit(120), and a control unit(160). The broadcast receiver receives data like a video clip or update information from a broadcasting network server. The control unit checks the update information transmitted by the broadcasting network server and checks whether there exists information to be newly received at a file transmission channel. The control unit determines whether the video clip is received and stored according to the update information. At this time the control unit perform an alarm process via the display unit and the audio processing unit in case that the video clip is updated. The key input unit generates key input signals necessary for the apparatus and transmits the generated key input signals. The audio processing unit regenerates the audio signals among the received broadcast signals according to activation of a broadcast receiving module. The memory stores the downloaded video clip, updates information or broadcasting signals as well as application programs and stores a regeneration module for regenerating the broadcasting signals and the video clip. A popup module(164) creates a corresponding popup window when receiving an alarm signal, and transfers the popup window to the display unit.
