Abstract: 액정 표시 장치용 기판의 안쪽 면에 배향막과 편광판의 역할을 겸할 수 있는 LB(Langmuir-Bloget) 박막을 부착한다. LB 박막은 박막을 이루는 분자의 구조가 일축성으로 이루어져 있어 액정과의 상호 작용을 통한 배향막의 역할과 분자축과 평행한 방향의 빛만을 통과시키는 편광판의 역할을 동시에 할 수 있다. 따라서, 배향막 인쇄, 배향막 러빙, 편광판 부착의 세 공정을 LB 박막을 부착하는 하나의 공정으로 줄일 수 있다.

Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a substrate and a method for manufacturing a substrate using the same are provided to improve the efficiency of an etching process and an inspecting process by connecting an inspecting device to an etching device, a cleansing device and a drying device. A loading device(100) loads a substrate(10) thereon. An etching device(200) is connected with the loading device(100) and etches the substrate(10). A cleansing device(300) is connected with the etching device(200) and cleanses the substrate(10). A drying device(400) is connected with the cleansing device(300) and dries the substrate(10). An inspecting device(500) is connected with the drying device(400) and inspects the substrate(10). An unloading device(600) unloads the substrate(10) from the inspecting device(500). The inspecting device(500) includes a surface inspector(510) inspects the surface of the substrate(10) and a thickness inspector(520) that inspects the thickness of the substrate(10).
