Abstract: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel are provided to efficiently seal up the edge of the LCD panel. An apparatus for manufacturing an LCD panel includes a supporting member(10), a dispensing member(30), and a driving member(20). The supporting member supports the LCD panel having a first substrate and a second substrates bonded to each other having a gap between them. The dispensing member dispenses a sealant(200) to the side of the LCD panel. The driving member relatively moves the supporting member and the dispensing member. The driving member is connected to the supporting member and includes a guide for guiding the movement of the supporting member. The apparatus further includes a controller for automatically controlling the dispensing member and the driving member.

Abstract: A sealing apparatus for a display substrate is provided to confirm and sense the coating state, thereby preventing defects such as the excessive irradiation of an ultraviolet ray. A loading part loads a display substrate. A sealing part equips a sealing machine to spread the hardening agent to the display substrate. A hardening part equips a hardening machine to harden the hardening agent spread on the display substrate. Abstract: A method for etching a glass motherboard is provided to uniformly etch the thickness of a glass motherboard by preventing the glass motherboard from having a damascened surface because of the circulation of an etch solution caused by air bubbles. A glass motherboard is received in a receptacle in which an etch solution is stored(S110). Air having a pressure of 0.05-0.15 mega pascal is injected into the etch solution so that air bubbles are generated to be supplied to the glass motherboard(S120). When a predetermined time interval elapses, the glass motherboard is taken out from the receptacle(S130). The predetermined time interval can be 150-180 minutes. The etched glass motherboard has a thickness of 0.3 millimeter.
