Abstract: PURPOSE: An image correcting device, an image processing device and methods are provided to properly correct a faded image, thereby making with complete fidelity by using the faded image. CONSTITUTION: A Gaussian filter unit(120) performs Gaussian filtering of a photo image. After a classification map generating unit(140) changes the Gaussian filtering photo image into L-Cyb-Crg color space, the classification map generating unit generates a chromaticity classification map based on a Cyb-Crg color coordinate value. A calculating unit(150) calculates average chromaticity for each area by using the chromaticity classification map. A changing unit(130) changes the Gaussian filtering photo image into C-M-Y color space. A correcting unit(160) corrects chromaticity for each area of the photo image by using a value calculated in the changing unit and the calculating unit.
