Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel is provided to form a third cell gap of a third pixel region, having a blue color filter, in a smaller size than those of first and second cell gaps for increasing the transmissivity of the first pixel region, thereby improving the entire brightness of the panel without color reproducibility. A liquid crystal display panel(500) comprises an array substrate(100), an opposed substrate(200), and liquid crystal layers(300). The array substrate has an array layer formed on pixel regions(D1,D2,D3) which are formed by crossing gate and source wirings, and pixel electrodes(PE1,PE2,PE3) formed on the array layer. The opposed substrate includes a green color filter formed on the first pixel region, a red color filter formed on the second pixel region, and a blue color filter formed on the third pixel region. The liquid crystal layer of the first and second pixel regions has a first cell gap(D1), and the liquid crystal layer of the third pixel region has a second cell gap(D2) which is smaller than the first cell gap. The array layer includes switching elements(TFT1,TFT2,TFT3) and an organic layer(150). The entire brightness of the panel is improved without color reproducibility.

Abstract: An array substrate, a display panel having the same and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to cover a step groove by an erosion prevention pad, thereby forming a pad electrode member with a hard structure. A signal line is formed on a base substrate(110). A switching device is electrically connected with the signal line. An inorganic insulating layer(120) is formed on the base substrate to cover the signal line and the switching device. An organic insulating layer(130) is formed on the inorganic insulating layer. A pixel electrode is formed on the organic insulating layer and electrically connected with the switching device. An erosion preventive pad is electrically connected with an end of the signal line and covers a step groove(HLG) formed at the organic insulating layer. The bottom surface of the step groove contacting the erosion preventive pad has a prominence and depression shape.
