Abstract: A drum type washing machine can prevent damage to the drainage filter and main body by the demount member when opening the drainage filter in order to draw out the drainage filter. A drum type washing machine comprises a main body, a drainage filter(58) which is equipped inside the main body in order to filter the alien substance contained in the washing water, and a filter cover(60) which is prepared on one side of the main body and opened and closed in order to draw out the drainage filter. An insertion hole(62), which consists of a settling portion(62a) in which a demount member is settled when inserted and a guide portion(62b) guiding the upper side of the demount member when opening the filter cover so as to prevent damage to the main body and filter cover by the demount member, is formed on the filter cover.
