A symmetrical key code processing device and a method are provided to increase the effectiveness of speed and the power consumption by not repeating the production of the round key. A symmetrical key code processing device(200) comprises a control signal unit(201), a round key generating unit(202), a memory unit(203), a symmetric key code encoding/decoding processor(204), and input-output signal processing unit(205). The control signal unit produces the round key generating signal or the symmetric key code encoding/decoding signal. The round key generating unit produces the round key. The round key generated from the round key generating unit is stored in the memory unit. The symmetric key code encoding/decoding processor receives the round key from the memory unit, and performs the encoding/decoding process of external data.

A hard disk drive for controlling the flying height of a magnetic head and a method thereof are provided to improve the reliability by minimizing HDI(Head Disc Interference) of a magnetic head and a disc. A hard disk drive for controlling the flying height of a magnetic head comprises a disc(102), a magnetic head(110), a flying height maintaining part(210), and a control part(230). The magnetic head reads data of the disc or records data on the disc. The flying height maintaining part maintains constant flying height of the magnetic head on the disc. The control part controls the flying height maintaining part to maintain a first height of the magnetic head during a seek mode, where the first height of the magnetic head is greater than a second height for performing a recording operation or a reading operation. The control part controls the flying height maintaining part to maintain the second height of the magnetic head during a recording mode or a reading mode after completion of the seek mode.

A resonance compensation method using a notch filter in a drive and an apparatus therefor are provided to apply the notch filter when a resonant frequency is detected, change a coefficient of the notch filter so as to correspond to the characteristic change of resonance, and effectively compensate for changed resonance although a phase characteristic of the resonance is changed by the notch filter. While a notch filter of a drive is disabled, a resonant frequency after a long-distance search is progressed is detected, and the detected frequency is stored as a start frequency(800). A coefficient of the notch filter is decided so as to correspond to the start frequency, and the notch filter is enabled(810). A resonant frequency after the long-distance search is progressed is detected in the enabled state of the notch filter, and the detected frequency is stored as a target frequency(820). The coefficient of the notch filter is changed so as to correspond to the target frequency(830).

A search servo control method in consideration of variation of temperature and a disc drive using the same are provided to correct the search control characteristic change caused by the variation of the resistance value in a voice coil motor. A controller discriminates whether a search command is received from a host device through a host interface(S401). When the search command is received, the controller calculates the standard search time given at the standard temperature by means of the first table information(S402). Thereafter, a process for detecting the present operation temperature information of a disc drive measured by a temperature sensing member is performed(S403). A scale factor value corresponding to the difference between the standard temperature and the present operation temperature is calculated by means of the second table information(S404). The final search time is calculated by substituting the scale factor for a mathematical formula(S405).

PURPOSE: A burst mode receiver unit insensitive to noise and a method for recovering its clock signal and data are provided, which recovers the clock signal and data in a high speed as minimizing an influence due to noise. CONSTITUTION: A voltage control signal generation unit(10) multiplies a frequency of a system clock signal, and generates a voltage control signal having a level corresponding to the multiplied frequency. A reset signal generation unit(12) delays an input signal inputted irregularly in a packet unit in response to the voltage control signal, and performs an exclusive OR operation of the delayed result and the input signal, and outputs the result of the exclusive OR operation as a reset signal. A clock signal generation unit(14) generates a signal having a level transitted at a middle part of each bit(T) included in the above packet as a recovered clock signal, and outputs the recovered clock signal. And an output buffer(16) buffers the input signal, and outputs the buffered result as recovered data in response to the recovered clock signal.

CONSTITUTION: A voice feature value is extracted from a inputted voice signal(120). A likelihood ratio is measured of a voice bio key and the voice feature value are measured(140). A dispersion specific weight distance of the voice bio key and the voice feature value are measured(150). The voice signal speaker and the speaker of the previously stored bio key is determined using the dispersion specific weight distance.

A destination location alarm apparatus for providing in the use of public transportation and a method thereof for providing a destination alarm service are provided to notify a user of access of public transportation to a station. A transceiver(310) receives route information from an information guidance machine. A bus station information receiver(320) receives the station information from the inside-vehicle information guidance machine. An alarm processor(330) compares the destination information and the received station information which the user inputs. The destination location alarm service is processed according to the comparison result. The information guidance machine is mounted within the public transport vehicle.
