Abstract: PURPOSE: A server for managing image forming apparatus, a method and system for managing error of image forming apparatus are provided to prevent the error caused by a manager when the error severity is specified manually by automatically calculating and reporting the error severity for the errors generated from the image forming apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(15) collects and stores the information on the errors of an image forming apparatus. A calculation unit(122) calculates the error generation frequency of the image forming apparatus using the error information. A analysis unit(123) analyzes the severity of the errors based on the error frequency and the error processing time. An output unit(14) outputs the severity analysis results of the error.

An administrator connects to an SP management server. A web page generating part generates web page about a management solution. A communications interfacing part transmits the web page to SP. The administrator sets up criteria data relating to an image forming apparatuses. Events taken over from a user are registered.
