Abstract: A method for controlling a digital TV having a PVR function is provided to perform recording with the minimum power necessary for the recording when a power-off key is inputted during direct recording and turn off the digital TV after the recording is ended, thereby reducing power consumption during the direct recording and removing inconvenience when the power-off key is inputted again.
