Abstract: A method for extracting information from content meta data and a device therefor are provided to search available resources by referring to key information, thereby obtaining a user's potential interested information related to an accessed content by the user. A user's content access is monitored(452). Meta data for an accessed content is obtained(454). The first set of extraction rules is selected for information extraction(456). Key information is extracted from the meta data of the content on the basis of the selected extraction rules(458). Available resources are searched by referring to the key information to obtain the user's potential interested information(460).
