Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for purifying dirty water are provided to have an elastic force in a case where the dirty water passes in the same shape and size and to make up a certain height of an elastic body layer by storing plural elastic bodies having a lighter gravity than the dirty water. CONSTITUTION: When dirty water is flowed in the lower part of a purifying housing(122) through a dirty water tube by a pump in a dirty water collecting place, elastic filter particles placed in the lower part of the purifying housing float toward an elastic filter particle displacement preventing plate(128) of the purifying housing in a state of floating on the upper face of the dirty water. Then, as soon as the surface of the dirty water touches the plate(128), the dirty water escapes from the plate(128) while the elastic filter particle(124) cannot escape because of a steel net(126b) or a strainer. Herein, the elastic filter particle makes up a certain thickness of a layer in a state of floating in the dirty water by the dirty water, and a certain size of a gap is formed between the elastic filter particles.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A filtration device using microorganism needs more than two of columns arranged at a row and several valves connected to each inlet of columns. CONSTITUTION: To purify waste water, a first column to fourth column(c1, c2, c3, c4) are arranged at a row, and each end of valves(v2, v4, v6, v8) is connected to each inlet of columns. Each outlet of columns is connected to each end of values(v1, v3, v5, v7). Another ends of valves are connected to valve(v14) for flowing in waste water and valve(v16) for exhausting waste water. The progress is composed of passing through four columns in order, and the fourth column is back-washed. This progress is repeated several times. After using microorganism filter, the amount of remaining sludge increase, so the last column has to be back-washed everytime. Then, capacity of treating waste water is improved, and water for washing is saved.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for treating acid or waste water chemically and biologically is provided which may reduce the capacity of settling tank and remove organic material in acid or waste water. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the 1st step for neutralizing raw water, the 2nd step for processing neutralized water with an enzyme preparation, the 3rd step for separating clarified supernatant liquid from sludge by settling, and the 4th step for discharging clarified supernatant liquid after the filtration. For example, hydrogen peroxide containing raw water is neutralized with calcium hydroxide in a reactor(100, 200). Neutralized water is mixed with a microorganism to remove organic matter. Treated water with the enzyme preparation is processed with a coagulant(400), precipitated in a settling tank and separated clarified supernatant liquid from sludge(500). The removal rate of BOD and suspended solid increases about above 50% and about above 80% respectively by this method.
