Abstract: A device and a method for switching dedicated communication channels in real-time in a multi-processor system are provided to switch the dedicated communication channels in real-time by searching a destination processor included in a data header, connecting the dedicated channel to a coordinator of a destination processor, and transmitting data. Each path selector(322,332,342) searches the destination processor in the data header by receiving the data including the data header from source processors(302-304), and transmits the data including the data header to the coordinators(324,334,344) of the destination processors(306-310). The coordinator transmits the data received from the path selector to the destination processor. The source processor generates the data header including information of the source and destination processor, and data size, attaches the data header to a front end of the data to be transmitted, and transmits the data. If the data is received from a plurality of path selectors at the same time, the coordinator receives the data according to a predetermined priority.
