    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically selecting an outside input signal for a DVR(Digital Video Recorder) and a method thereof are provided to automatically select the outside input signal without a user's key manipulation in the DVR mode in a product combined a TV with a DVR. CONSTITUTION: A TV block(200) comprises an input member(120) for selecting and outputting a signal inputted from the outside and for outputting an id signal showing the presence or absence of the terminal connection according to a kind of the signal. A signal processing member(220) receives and processes the TV signal inputted from the input member. An image detecting member(221) detects the kind of the input signal and outputs a detecting signal(212). A DVR control member(110) receives the detecting signal according to the kind of the signal and transmits the received detecting signal to a video decoder(130). The video decoder(130) processes the signal outputted from the input member in order to fit to the kind of the signal transmitted from the DVR control member, divides the signal into Y(luminance), Cr and Cb and transmits the divided signal to a DVR signal processing member(140) through the respective signal line(131,132,133).

    Abstract: A white balance correcting method of a display device is provided to detecting the brightness date and color coordinate by fixing the distance and measuring position of the first and second probes.
