Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a display apparatus which prevents flow of a diffusing plate by fixing the diffusing plate to a backlight assembly by a fixing member and provides the best image quality by preventing generation of dark portions due to holes of the diffusing plate. The display apparatus, according to an embodiment of the present invention, includes a liquid crystal display panel configured to display an image, and a backlight unit disposed in the lower portion of the liquid crystal display panel and configured to emit light to the liquid crystal display panel, wherein the backlight unit includes a bottom chassis comprising an accommodation space configured to accommodate a plurality of light sources, a middle mold provided on the bottom chassis, a diffusing plate provided on the middle mold, and a fixing member provided on an outer surface of the bottom chassis and configured to contact one side of the diffusing plate and prevent movement of the diffusing plate.
