A first device receives information on a layout of a plurality of icons corresponding to a plurality of applications displayed on a screen of a second device, from the second device and displays the icons corresponding to the applications on the screen of the first device using the received information on the layout.

CONSTITUTION: A processor connects a user device to a PC(Personal Computer)(S401). The processor requests the conversion about receiving target data to the PC(S402). The processor releases connection(S403). If a first event is generated, the processor connects the user device to the PC(S404,S405). The processor receives the converted data from the PC(S406).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for updating a map of a navigation system are provided to generate alias of the registered POI(Point Of Interest) and create and correct the POI which is not registered by comparing the final destination of a navigation and the destination where a user arrives. CONSTITUTION: A destination inputted in a POI data base is searched(310). Whether the search of the POI is succeed or not is determined in the POI data base(315). The POI is logged if the search of the POI inputted for searching for the destination of the navigation is failed(320). If the destination of the navigation is equal to the destination where the user arrives, the failed log POI is registered as the candidate of the alias of the re-inputted POI(340). The candidate of the alias of the POI is transmitted to a server, the alias of the POI determined by the preset analysis procedure is received from the server. If the operation is completed, it is checked whether the POI exists in the final destination in which the operation is completed(350).

An EPG receiving apparatus and a method thereof are provided to store temporarily only EPG information of high possibility that a user requests, thereby needing a small amount of memory, and providing VOD and UCC information related to a program with detail EPG information rapidly to a user. A receiver(210) receives basic electronic program guide information and detail EPG information from a server providing EPG information. A buffer stores the received detail EPG information temporarily. According to the currently displayed basic electronic program guide information, a controller(220) requests the detail EPG information to the server, receives the requested detail EPG information and stores it in a buffer. A display unit(240) displays the detail EPG information stored in the buffer(230) by the request of a user.

A server and a method for providing metadata, and a client device and a contents providing method thereof are provided to offer a user the metadata efficiently even though the client device includes no high capacity memory, and enable the user to obtain the contents efficiently through two-way communication by using the received metadata. A metadata generator(206) generates metadata for contents. A metadata transmitter(208) controls connection of a client device(400). The metadata includes basic metadata for searching contents information in the client device and detail metadata for the contents included in the basic metadata. The metadata transmitter transmits the basic metadata in an early stage connecting to the client device and transmits the detail metadata by a request of the client device. The basic metadata includes search information for searching the contents and connection information needed for determining priority for connecting the client device to at least one contents providing server(210).

PURPOSE: A system and method for storing and regenerating contents between a mobile terminal and plural regeneration equipments using location information in a network are provided to simply store and regenerate contents by using location information, regardless of time and places. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal comprises a user input-output part(201), a storage part(202), a message processing part(203), a radio communication part(204), and a control part(205). The user input-output part(201) provides the interface between the user and the mobile terminal. The storage part(202) stores the location information of the contents selected by the user. The message processing part(203) processes a message containing a command for the storage or regeneration of contents. The radio communication part(204) transmits a message, converted and transmitted by the message processing part(203), to a regeneration equipment. The radio communication part(204) receives a message containing necessary information from a regeneration equipment and forwards it to the message processing part(203). The control part(205) receives a content storage or regeneration request through the user input-output part(201), forwards it to the message processing part(203), and transfers a converted message to the radio communication part(204).

PURPOSE: A plug and play system using an I/O(Input/Output) format code and a processing method thereof are provided to support the plug and play between a terminal and a module card by using the I/O format code. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the terminal(110) and the module card(140). The terminal(110) connects to a card interface(130) of the module card(140) by holding a card socket(120). The module card(140) holds a memory and the card interface(130), holds no I/O for the user interaction, and performs a function only if the power and an I/O device is offered from the external. The I/O format code between the terminal and the module card is fixed. An analyzer to analyze the I/O format code is installed to the terminal(110). In order to process the I/O of a user, the module card(140) transmits the I/O format code to the terminal(110). The terminal(110) displays a screen by analyzing the I/O format.

PURPOSE: A method and a device for providing position information are provided to extend navigation data by converting the obtained position information through a web page. CONSTITUTION: The position information is obtained from the data in a web page(S510). The obtained position information is converted into the data format used in the navigation(S520). The position information related to a keyword is requested from the external server using the keyword obtained from the data in the web page. The position information is received from the external server corresponding to the request.
