Abstract: A method and a system for providing a service in a communication system are provided to enable one participant, who is now speaking, to yield a right of speaking in case that other participant requests a right of speaking such that a PoC(Push to talk over Cellular) server effectively manages conversations made in a PoC session. A method for providing a service in a communication system comprises the following several steps. The first terminal transmits a TB-REQ(Talk Burst Request) message to a PoC server(307). If so in the step 315, the server transmits a TB-QS_RSP(talk burst Queue Status Response) message to the second terminal for notifying the second terminal that the TB-REQ is queued(319).
