Abstract: PURPOSE: Channel quality information, beam index reporting method, and an apparatus thereof are provided to decide and report the channel quality information. CONSTITUTION: A control unit selects at least one beam for the channel quality reporting (1210). The control unit maps the indices of at least one selected beam to at least one channel quality value (1215). According to the mapping, a transmitting unit transmits the channel quality information of at least one selected beam (1225). The control unit measures the channel quality parameter related to the signals received from a plurality of beam. Based on the measured channel quality parameter, the control unit selects more than one beam for the channel quality report from a plurality of beam.
