Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for displaying data in a terminal having a touch screen. The method according to an embodiment of the present invention is performed in the terminal having the touch screen, and comprises the steps of: setting a ratio between a scroll and a movement distance of a touch; detecting a touch gesture in a first region of the touch screen; scrolling icons of the first region at the set ratio in response to the touch gesture; and displaying, in a second region of the touch screen, detailed information about one among at least one icon newly displayed according to the scroll. Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and a device for managing a widget of a portable terminal are provided to improve convenience of a user by displaying widgets which area frequently used or recently registered on a widget tray. CONSTITUTION: A registration event includes a widget which is located on a standby screen in one among widget tray terminals. A control unit(100) registers a requested widget to locate the requested widget on the highest of a widget tray. A reservation stack(40) is stored in a method that LIFO(Last In-First Out) an index of a widget which is automatically deleted in the widget tray when registration event occurs. The registration event excesses the widget registration limit number.
