Abstract: A system and a method for implementing a multimedia service in a mobile terminal through a remote device are provided to solve a problem that a conventional mobile terminal for providing a multimedia service has a small screen and low sound performance, so it cannot provide a high-quality multimedia service. When a mobile terminal(300) receives an input for providing a multimedia service via a remote device(310) while multimedia data is being outputted, it transmits data for providing the corresponding multimedia service to the remote device(310). When the multimedia data is received from the mobile terminal(300), the remote device(310) outputs the received multimedia data in real time.

Abstract: A character input method in a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to easily and quickly input characters and to reduce an error in inputting characters by toggling a consonant. When a character input mode is activated(201), a controller checks whether a particular button is inputted. When the particular button is inputted, the controller checks a previously inputted consonant(205). The controller processes the next consonant of the checked consonant as a final consonant(207).
