Abstract: A method for simply editing phone numbers and a mobile communication terminal therefor are provided to be unnecessary to edit a phone number through plural procedures and send a call to the edited phone number due to differentiating pushing schemes of a call connection key in case that a specific character is added to a phone number stored at the terminal or a part of the phone number is changed. A method for simply editing phone numbers comprises the following several steps. A controller checks whether a user requests a phone number to be searched in a mobile communication terminal(300). The controller displays a searched phone number(310). The controller checks whether the user pushes a call connection key for a short or a long time(330). In case of for a long time, the controller attempts to dial the phone number in the conventional way(340). In case of for a shot time, the controller displays a screen for editing the searched phone number(350). The controller enables a user to add or delete digits or specific characters and displays the edited phone number(360). The controller checks whether the user pushes a call connection key again(370). If so, the controller attempts to dial the edited phone number(380).
