Abstract:
본 발명은 디지털 방송 시스템에서의 채널 전환 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 채널 전환을 위한 정보를 보조화면 창에 출력하며, 시청용 채널을 통해 수신되는 방송 프로그램을 주화면 창에 출력함과 동시에 보조화면 창에 출력되는 정보에 대응하는 채널 전환을 전환용 채널을 통해 수행하며, 상기 채널 전환이 완료된 후에 상기 전환용 채널을 통해 수신되는 방송 프로그램을 주화면 창에 출력함으로써 채널 전환 과정에서 발생하는 방송 끊김 현상을 방지한다.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for reducing channel changing time of a digital broadcasting in a mosaic EPG(Electronic Program Guide) system are provided to display a mosaic EPG image with low resolution during the channel change processing time. When a conversion event to a mosaic EPG mode is generated in order to search a channel(S410), a digital broadcasting receiving system provides a mosaic image on a TV screen. When a user moves a cursor to one of plural sub pictures(S420), the video/audio signals are outputted from the channel corresponding to the sub picture(S430). When a desired channel is discovered, the corresponding channel is selected(S440). Whenever the channel is changed by the cursor, the video/audio signals are outputted.

본 발명은 추가 채널을 이용한 디지털 방송 채널 전환 시간 축소 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 하나의 물리 채널 내에 채널 전환을 위한 별도의 추가 채널을 설정하여 디지털 방송 표준 채널과 함께 송출하고, 사용자에 의한 채널 전환 요구가 발생한 경우, 상기 송출된 표준 채널에 대한 디스플레이 프로세싱에 소요되는 시간 동안, 디스플레이 프로세싱이 완료된 상기 추가 채널을 스크린에 디스플레이 함으로써 채널 전환 시간에 소요되는 시간 동안 시청자가 느끼는 지루함 및 불쾌함을 해소한다.

An apparatus and a method for reducing a channel conversion time in digital broadcasting through the prediction of the channel change are provided to display the preference channels on a screen as the OSD(On Screen Display) type. A tuner(110) tunes a desired channel from the received broadcasting channel. A demodulation member(120) demodulates the tuned analog signal into a digital signal and transmits the reception restriction data to a CAS(Conditional Access System)(160). When a subscriber selects a channel, the CAS confirms whether the subscriber has the watching authority related to the corresponding program channel. If there is the watching authority, the encrypted broadcasting data are de-scrambled.

본 발명은 디지털 방송 시스템에서의 채널 전환 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 수신제한 처리를 논리채널 단위가 아닌 물리채널 단위로 수행하여 동일한 물리채널 내에 존재하는 논리채널 간의 전환에서의 수신제한 처리를 생략할 수 있도록 함으로써 채널 전환에 소요되는 시간을 감소시킨다.

A device and a method for reducing a zapping time in broadcasting by using an additional channel are provided to reduce time required for display processing by using an additional clean channel for channel conversion, thereby realizing the channel conversion within a short time without waiting. In a method for reducing a zapping time in digital broadcasting channel conversion, an additional channel for channel conversion is set in a single physical channel and transmitted with digital broadcasting standard channels. The additional channel, in which display processing is finished(S630), is displayed on a screen(S640) for the time required for display processing regarding the transmitted standard channels, in response to user's channel conversion request(S610,S650-S660).

An apparatus and a method for converting a channel in a digital broadcasting system are provided to continuously output a broadcasting program, received through a channel for watching and complete the channel conversion through an additional channel for conversion when channel conversion is requested, and then output a broadcasting program after the channel conversion so that disconnection of broadcasting due to a long channel conversion time in the digital broadcasting system can be prevented. An apparatus for converting a channel in a digital broadcasting system comprises a controller(270). The controller(270) outputs a broadcasting program, received through a channel for watching, to the first window on a display unit, and outputs channel conversion information, received through an information providing channel, to the second window on the display unit. When channel conversion is requested, the controller(270) performs the requested channel conversion through a channel for conversion. When the channel conversion is completed, the controller(270) outputs a broadcasting program, received through the channel for conversion, to the first window.

A device and a method for changing a channel in a digital broadcasting system are provided to carry out channel conversion between logic channels without any additional CAS(Conditional Access System) processing, thereby reducing a time required for the channel conversion. A device for channel conversion in a digital broadcasting system includes a tuner(210) for carrying out tuning of a physical channel, and a CAS(Conditional Access System;230) for restraining access to the tuned physical channel. A demultiplxer(240) carries out demultiplexing for the physical channel to distinguish logic channels included in the physical channel. A control part(270) controls the tuner, the CAS, the demultiplexer, and a demodulation part(220) to receive and output the logic channels corresponding to a user's channel conversion request as the request is received.
