Abstract: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to recognize the blanking period surely when a reduced blanking timing signal is inputted, to control the position and amplitude of the clamping signal, thereby processing the signal safely. An input member(10) receives an image signal including the synchronization signal and an active signal. A regulation signal generating member(20) generates the regulation signal. A signal processing member(30) receives the regulation signal and regulates the image signal. When the regulation signal does not exist between the synchronization signal and the active signal, a control member(50) controls the regulation signal generating member so that the phase of the regulation signal is controlled. The control member controls the regulation signal generating member so that the start point of the regulation signal is moved to the foregoing part. The control member control the regulation signal generating member so that the regulation signal is generated after the predetermined time delay from the rising edge of the synchronization signal.

Abstract: A display system is provided to enable a display apparatus to automatically identify different video signals, selectively inputted through one input port, according to whether an identification signal exists, and process the identified video signals.
