Abstract: A wafer transfer apparatus is provided to improve maintenance efficiency of the wafer transfer apparatus by enabling an operating member to approach an overall region inside a chamber. A wafer transfer apparatus includes at least one robot arm(150), a chamber, and cover units(120,130). The robot arm is arranged inside the chamber. A front portion and/or an upper portion of the chamber are opened. The cover unit opens and closes the front and/or the upper portion of the chamber. The chamber has an opened side portion and at least one open/close unit(200). The open/close unit opens and closes the side portion. At least on window unit, through which the robot arm is monitored from outside, is formed on the cover unit.

Abstract: A semiconductor fabrication apparatus and a method for loading/unloading a wafer are provided to prevent a sliding effect of the wafer or the mis-alignment of the wafer in a process for loading the wafer on a chuck or unloading the wafer from the chuck by raising pins using electrostatic attraction. A semiconductor fabrication apparatus includes a chamber, a chuck(111), and a plurality of pins(112,113,114). The chuck is installed on the chamber and a plurality of holes. The plurality of pins penetrate the corresponding holes of the chuck in order to load/unload a wafer(W). The plurality of pins support the wafer by using electrostatic attraction. The chamber is used for implanting ions onto the wafer.
