Abstract: An earphone device connected to an external device and an operating method thereof are provided to decrease a power consumption by stopping a reproduction of sound, when the earphone is not used. An earphone device connected to an external device includes a cable(121), an ear jack(124), an earphone(122), a skin contact sensor(123), and a controller. The ear jack is arranged on one end of the cable and electrically inserted into an ear jack hole in the external device. The earphone is implemented on the other end of the cable and includes a speaker unit which is inserted into ears. The skin contact sensor is implemented on the earphone and detects whether the earphone is inserted into the ears. The controller determines whether the earphone is in use by using the skin contact sensor and controls the overall components of the earphone device.

Abstract: An integrated searching method between mobile terminals is provided to efficiently search for files in many mobile terminals by using a single SIM(Subscriber Identity Module), without a special sharing device, and to easily obtain files from mobile terminals through authentication using SIM information, without a special initialization process, even though booting in the mobile terminals has not been completed. If a user inserts an SIM into the first mobile terminal and turns on the power when the second mobile terminals are in a tentative booting state, a control part of the first mobile terminal reads various SIM information from the SIM(301,302). The control part executes application procedures by using the read information(303). Then, the control part transmits SIM information to the second mobile terminals through IrDA or Bluetooth communication and attempts access for authentication(304). In case the user requests file access to the second mobile terminals through the first mobile terminal, the second mobile terminals access an ICCID hash value(310). Based on the ICCID hash value and the SIM information, the second mobile terminals judge whether authentication is successful(311). If authentication is successful, each of the second mobile terminals transmits a file search permission signal to the first mobile terminal(305).
