    Abstract: PURPOSE: A catalyst composition for modifying carbon dioxide is provided to secure the superior activity of the composition by including a hydroxyl group containing porous oxide and a complex porous catalyst carrying catalytic metals with a porous carrier. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst composition for modifying carbon dioxide includes a porous oxide and a complex porous catalyst. The porous oxide contains 0.3 to 3.0 mmol/g of a hydroxyl group. The porous oxide is at least one selected from a group including mesoporous silica, mesoporous zeolite, and alumina aerosol. The complex porous catalyst carries catalytic metals with a porous carrier. The catalytic metals are at least one selected from a group including Ni, Co, Cr, Mn, Mo, Ce, Zr, Fe, Ir, K, Ca, Mg, La, Sr, Cu, Zn, Pd, Pt, Ru, Rh, and Au. The weight ratio of the porous oxide and the complex porous catalyst is 5:5 to 1:9.
