Abstract: PURPOSE: A data display device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to reduce the amount of current consumed in a control unit by reducing image data delivered from the control unit to a display unit. If the application is in a limited operation mode which displays an image at a lower frame rate than a frame rate of a normal operation mode, the control unit changes the display data frame rate to store the same in the frame buffer and to notify the changed frame rate and an operation clock.
