PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a drive circuit apparatus for driving backlight arranged on the same are provided to reduce the number of peripheral components by minimizing the size of a backlight driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A switching part(L1,S1) is switched in order to supply drive power to a backlight. A signal synthesizing part synthesizes a current control signal and a dimming signal. The signal synthesizing part outputs a synthesized signal. The current control signal controls a current flowing in the backlight. The dimming signal controls dimming of the backlight. A driving part(161) outputs the driving signal to the switching part. The driving part dimming-operates the backlight based on a combined signal.

PURPOSE: A common power supply device and method, and a display device using the same are provided to improve a manufacturing process by controlling the size of a current which is outputted from a power supply unit. CONSTITUTION: A controller(120) controls an operation of a power supply unit. A control circuit unit(130) adjusts voltage provided to controller by using a plurality of resistances. The control circuit unit adjusts the size of a current which is outputted from the power supply unit. A plurality of resistances outputs a current having the size which is variable according to the size of the display. A connector unit(140) interlinks the power supply unit and a backlight unit. The connector unit is connected to a plurality of nodes. The backlight unit comprises an LED source. The connector unit and the power supply unit are connected by using a wire harness.

PURPOSE: A backlight unit of a display device is provided to ground one end of a light emitting module thereby reducing the number of wirings. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit of a display device comprises a light emitting module, a bottom chassis for accepting the light emitting module, and a driving unit installed on the bottom chassis in order to operate the light emitting module. The light emitting module comprises more than two light emitting modules which is electrically connected with each other and a board including a ground for grounding one end of the light emitting module.

PURPOSE: A power supply and a controlling method thereof are provided to sense a plurality of power supply levels using a circuit of a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A power factor correction(10) compensates the power factor of an inputted power supply. A standby power supply unit(20) is connected to the power factor correction. The standby power unit includes a transformer(21) with changing an input power into the standby power supply of the fixed level. A sensor(30) is located on the secondary side of the transformer. The sensor senses the level of an inductive power supply corresponding to the input power supply. A power controlling unit(50) supplies a driving power supply to a system unit(200).

CONSTITUTION: An AC power input unit(310) receives AC voltage. A rectifier circuit(320) full wave rectifies and levels the AC voltage. A PFC(Power Factor Capacitor) circuit(330) comprises a PFC bulk capacitor(331) and a PFC controller. The PFC controller charges voltage to the PFC bulk capacitor. A first resistance(361) and a second resistance(363) divide the voltage of the PFC bulk capacitor and output a reference voltage. A controller(370) controls charge and discharge of the PFC bulk capacitor according to the reference voltage. The controller comprises a Zener diode(371) and a transistor(373).
