PURPOSE: An apparatus for hierarchical channel sounding and channel state information (CSI) feedback in a massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system and a method thereof are provided to determine time, frequency and space processing technique for communication between a base station and at least one mobile station. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station (MS) receives at least one sector-level reference signal and a number of synchronous signals applied with different transmission space processing techniques, from at least one base station (602). The MS determines long-term CSI by using the synchronous signals and the sector-level reference signals. The MS determines at least one preferred slice in a sector for communication between the at least one base station and the MS, on the basis of the given CSI (603). The MS transmits a signal indicating the at least one preferred slice to the at least one base station. PURPOSE: An apparatus for HARQ using the network coding and a method thereof are provided to encode the information bit streams from a relay of the wireless communications network. CONSTITUTION: A relay(110) receives a first packet from a base station(105). The relay receives a second packet from a terminal(115). The relay decodes the first packet and the second packet. The relay re-encodes the first packet and the second packet. The relay unites the first packet and second packets which encoded through the XOR operation to a third packet. The relay transmits the third packet to the base station and terminal.

PURPOSE: A device for supporting mobility management and a method thereof are provided to satisfy the demands for wireless data traffic which is remarkably increased. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmits one or more first control beams including a reference signal in order to enable a mobile station to measure data. The base station receives a first measurement report for one or more first control beams from the mobile station(1205). The base station selects one of the first control beams for one or more control channels assigned to the mobile station based on the first measurement report.
