Abstract: An apparatus and a method for storing and reproducing contents in an XHT(Expandable Home Theater) network environment are provided to set a code key through a remote controller, encode and store predetermined contents, and offer a reproduction limitation function by user for the encoded contents, thereby securing safety in encoding and decoding random contents and restricting access to contents encoded through user authentication. An apparatus for storing and reproducing contents based on user authentication comprises a remote(240), a storage unit(210), and a DTV(Digital Television)(230). The remote transmits a control command for controlling plural devices connected by a predetermined network. The storage device stores encoded contents by allowing a user to set a code key for the contents. The DTV performs a user authentication process for the encrypted contents to display decoded contents.

Abstract: A home server and an authentication procedure performing method are provided to enhance the security function relating to the home network and to offer the convenience relating to the management of devices. A group managing member(110) classifies the plural devices into at least two groups previously set and generates and stores the node identifiers including identifiers relating to the groups and identifiers of devices. A generating member(120) generates the device authentication information by means of each node identifier and the property of each device. A control member(130) performs the authentication about the device within at least two groups by means of node identifiers and the device authentication information. Abstract: A method and a device for providing a service considering user context are provided to enhance, correct, manage, and share personalized multimedia/information according to the user context as well as a user location. A transmission sensor(310) transmits an ID signal for recognizing the user location. A mobile terminal(330) includes a reception sensor(320) for receiving the transmitted ID signal and transmits the user context including user location information according to the received ID signal. A server(340) provides the service by using the user context received from the mobile terminal. The user context includes user ID, location, and time information. The server calculates a user direction by using the user location information, and determines whether user attention is found in the calculated user direction or the direction of a service device(350). The server filters the information required for enabling the determined service device to provide the service and provides the service corresponding to the filtered information.
