PURPOSE: An image processing method and device are provided to eliminate noise of an image generated in general environment, low level light environment, and high sensitivity environment. CONSTITUTION: An RGB input image signal is converted into a YCbCr input image signal(610). The YCbCr input image signal is divided into a low frequency component which a high frequency component and noise are eliminated(620). The noise of the divided high frequency component is eliminated(630). The high frequency component which the divided low frequency component and the noise are eliminated is combined(640). An input image comprises a luminance component and a chrominance component. PURPOSE: An image processing method and an image processing device are provided to obtain an image with corrected lightness. CONSTITUTION: A first image extracting unit(123) uses an edge-preserving smoothing filter in a radiance map. The first image extracting unit extracts an image whose edge part is preserved or flat part is smoothed. A second image extracting unit(125) applies a correction curve to a first image. The second image extracting unit extracts a second image with a dynamic range that a user visually recognizes. A display image extracting unit(127) adjusts the hue value and chroma values of the second image. The display image extracting unit extracts an image with corrected image.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An image interpolating method using pattern characteristics of a color filter array and an apparatus thereof are provided to detect an edge direction from DAID(Differences of Absolute Inter-channel Differences) in consideration of properties of CFA, thereby directly interpolating three kinds of color pixel values from a CFA image along with the edge direction. CONSTITUTION: An edge direction detector(110) calculates difference values between absolute channels based on a central pixel according to pattern properties of R,G,B pixels arranged in a color filter array. An edge direction is detected using the calculated difference values. A weight calculator(120) calculates a directional weight according to the pattern properties of the R,G,B pixels. An interpolator(130) interpolates a unknown pixel using the color difference values and the calculated directional weight value in the detected edge direction.

CONSTITUTION: An RGB input image single is converted into a YCbCr input image signal(800). The YCbCr input image signal is divided into a luminance signal and a chrominance signal(810). After noise is eliminated from the divided luminance signal, a luminance signal existed in the noise is restored(820). Noise is eliminated from the chrominance signal(830). An image, which final noise is eliminated, is outputted by combining the luminance signal with the chrominance signal which the final noise is eliminated(840).
