Abstract:
PURPOSE: A memory system and a page replacement method thereof shorten a delay time required for a page swap by using a backup non-volatile memory as a swap device. CONSTITUTION: A non-volatile memory directly exchanges data with a central processing device (111). Necessary data is loaded to a main memory (112) from a disc and the non-volatile memory in the operation of the central processing device. The non-volatile memory is used as a swap device of the main memory. The central processing device swaps a code page selected as a replaced target in the main memory with the non-volatile memory. The main memory includes a page table (113) referenced by the central processing device.
Abstract:
A method for managing a dynamic cache for transcoding based on cloud computing in which a plurality of computing nodes performs a transcoding job assigned by a transcoding control server according to embodiments of the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) allowing the transcoding control server to insert, into a dynamic cache, at least part of an idle space not assigned to a transcoding job in a computing node which is performing the transcoding job, and at least part of an idle space in a computing node which is not performing a transcoding job; (b) allowing the transcoding control server to load created transcoding content on the dynamic cache or transmit the created transcoding content to a client without loading the created transcoding content on the dynamic cache, according to a cache policy, when the transcoding content is created by a computing node to which a transcoding job is assigned; and (c) allowing the transcoding control server to select a computing node to which a new or additional transcoding job can be assigned, return at least a partial space of memory of the selected computing node from the dynamic cache, and cause the selected computing node to perform the transcoding job in the returned memory.
